The third and final segment of the saga! Haha... ok, so Saturday morning started out with Wren trying out her beautiful Amish made highchair/rocking horse/desk from Great Grandpa Duggan and Grandpa O'!
Soon she will be big enough to ride all by herself!
After morning nap, we headed to the zoo!
It was Zoo Boo at the zoo! Lots of fun Halloween decorations!
This one made me laugh a lot... poor scarecrow!
Going to pet the sharks
Watching the penguins swim by
We love the zoo
Another beautiful fall day!
We heard the elephant trumpet
(is that what it's called when it makes noises with it's trunk??)
It came up so close to the glass!
Girls at the zoo!
Haha, love Wren's little face peeking out!
The tiger exhibit is so cool! They come right up to the glass!
Having fun at the zoo!
Thanks for the zoo shirt, Grandma!
This was Wren's second trip to the zoo. We went back in June when Graham and Melissa came to visit, but Wren slept the whole entire time on that trip! She was only like 8 weeks old, I think. This time around she was awake and alert for the whole trip! We will have to come dressed in costume next year for Zoo Boo... they hand out candy! :)
After our zoo trip, we came home and made caramel dip for the apples we bought at Apple Works. The caramel was soooooo yummy! Oh, and I love this cookbook, too!
Once Wren got up from her afternoon nap, we headed over to Jim and Kathleen's for the Kennel Cookout.
The official "Hot Dog Cooker"
Wren was more interested in looking at Sorcha!
Sorcha and I have on the same colors!
Black, gray, and purple... I didn't even notice until I looked at these pics!
I thought Wren would have been more interested in the fire...
but no, she wanted my necklace... like usual.
She wants the hot dog (actually the bun) so bad.
I think I have created a little carb monster!
Kissing the punkin!
Family picture!
What a busy, fun-filled weekend we had! Mom and Sorcha headed back to Minnesota Sunday morning. We were so sad to see them leave... I wish they lived closer! We are all looking forward to seeing the whole family at Christmas, though! Should be quite an adventure! :)
