Water Break

I try to get downtown to the farmers market every other Wednesday.
I like to take only $20 cash... cause anything more I spend!
We walk up and down the market, figuring out what to get.
On our way back through, we pick up the best priced produce of choice...
some kind of treat to take home...
and a fresh, soft preztel to share.
Makes Wren a little thirsty I guess....

Chalk!

We've been getting lots of great outdoor time these past few weeks.
Wren would be outside all day if I let her.
I recently busted out the sidewalk chalk for her to play with...
lots of fun!

Chalk on her face, on her hands, in her mouth...

She needs every. single. piece. out.

Now which color to use?

Putting the chalk back in the box...
then taking it out again...
then putting it back in...
and out... and in....

Yay for Spring weather!

Grandpa Brasic and Grandma Barb's Visit

So my dad and Barb made the trip down from Wisconsin to visit a few weeks back...
I am just taking FOREVER blogging about things lately.
We had a great time during their visit.
They brought Wren a bunch of fun presents...
Here she is snuggin' on a kitty they brought for her.
This girl looooooooves kitties....

Hugging Grandma Barb!

Showing her baby.

Going through all of her new presents.

She loves that puppy book!

How cute!
Can't wait until she can wear this next fall.

We spent Friday afternoon at the zoo!

Wren (and Grandma Barb) loved the penguins!

Grandpa strollin' with Wren at the zoo

Wren loves the zoo!

I wish I would have taken more pictures during the weekend.
After the zoo on Friday, we came back to our house and had Coal Pizza Company for dinner.
Saturday, Grandpa and Grandma Barb came over in the morning to play, and after Wren's nap we went to their hotel to swim!
I didn't get any swimming pictures, but I will have to try to get some from Barb and repost them.
After swimming, we grabbed dinner at Mesh on Mass Ave.
So tasty!
After dinner, we said our goodbyes.
The weekend went way too fast!
Wren had a great time visiting with her "Wisconsin Grandparents"!  :)
Looking forward to seeing everyone again this summer!!!

Play Date at Sara's

It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a good picture of these girls anymore...

Not a single kid is looking at the camera...
and poor Macy... she is NOT happy!

Not much better of a picture... but at least they are all happy.

All 4 girls... and Elmo.

Easter... FINALLY!

EASTER PICTURES.... FINALLY!

Easter weekend was a super busy weekend.
My family in town visiting, Wren's 1st birthday bash, and then an Easter celebration!
Wren participated in her first Easter egg hunt this year.
She actually celebrated her first Easter last year...
but she was only 2 weeks old...
and she slept through the entire afternoon.
Here are some pics....

Stay-At-Home Mom and the Banana Thief

...hey, that kind of sounds like a kids' book title, no?
Like one of the Berenstain Bears books or something...
The Adventures of the Stay-At-Home Mom and the Banana Thief.
Oooooh, sounds so very intriguing.
...or something...
er, anyway...
MOVING ON...

Soooooo.... exciting news!
Starting this week, I am officially a full-time stay-at-home mom!
Woohoo!!!!!!
Chris's online business, petbookings.com, has really taken off, enabling me to stay home with Wren every day.
I am so grateful for our situation!
Although Chris is VERY busy these days...
commuting to the Northside, going on out-of-state business trips, AND still working at the kennel.
Hopefully things will settle down in a few months.
Until then, I am going to enjoy the days with just me and my baby girl...

...also known as the BANANA THIEF!

Sooooooo, this morning while I was putting breakfast on the table, Wren was running around the house, per usual.
I placed pancakes, yogurt, and a peeled banana on a plate on the dining room table.
I hadn't gotten to cutting the banana up for Wren yet.
I headed back into the kitchen to grab a knife so I could.
When I came back and sat down to slice it up, I was shocked to see that the banana was missing.
The plate looked untouched, except for the missing banana.
I thought I was going crazy.
I was positive I had peeled a banana and put in on the table.
Or maybe I didn't?
I couldn't remember...
I was multi-tasking and doing about 50 things at once.
Maybe I did forget the banana.
As I got up to go get (another?) banana, I caught a glimpse of this little monkey face....

The Banana Thief strikes!

I guess she just couldn't wait for breakfast.
Oh, and she ate the entire thing.
Whole.
Just like that.

***I know, I know, I know.  I still have Easter pics to post.  There are a ton to sort through and it seems to be such a daunting task.  I will try to get to it before it's been a whole entire month since Easter.  Hopefully.
